ethno clothes

Ethnic costumes made during the first five years of Atelier ‘Pregarni me’ which opened its doors in August 2005.

Every Saturday or Sunday a group of 8 to 10 children from the Home for children without parental care in Doganovo village ( 5km from Elin Pelin) arrived in a people carrier at the small garage turned into Atelier on “Tundja” street where together with Kacho (Kalina Koleva) and Zori (Zornitza Paskulijska) they were thought sewing and weaving. There were so many children volunteering to come that the Home for children announced a month without absences and low marks at school (this was the condition for volunteering to attend the Atelier).
This is how we started. It was a joy! And still is a joy!

Some of the costumes shown on the website were shown at two fashion shows, some others - in exhibitions.

Of course, if someone buys a costume, one will receive it dry cleaned and ironed.
The clothes and accessories are made mainly of linen and wool. It is recommended that they are washed by hand in lukewarm water, while the woven elements (bags, vests, belts, etc.) are dry cleaned.

The colours of some articles do not fully correspond to what one might be seeing online as some mobile devices change the colours.
